Slayer and Marilyn Manson have revealed dates for a 25-city North American co-headline bill, starting July 25 at the Sound Advice Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Fla., and wrapping Sept. 1 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in San Antonio.
Southern California metal act Bleeding Through and an additional as-yet-unannounced band will support on all dates.
As previously reported, Slayer and Manson will first give the pairing a whirl at the U.K.’s Download Festival on June 9 in England’s Donington Park, the Greenfield Festival on June 15 in Interlaken, Switzerland, and the Metaltown Festival on June 30 in Stockholm.
For Manson, the trek comes in support of his forthcoming album, “Eat Me, Drink Me,” due in June via Interscope. According to his Web site, he hopes to release it in conjunction with his film project “Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll,” based on the strange life of the creator of “Alice in Wonderland.”
Slayer’s last album, “Christ Illusion” (American), was released in August, and peaked at No. 5 on The Billboard 200. The veteran group will be on the road in Australia and Europe prior to its stint with Manson.
