Would you ever believe in a fairytale? Skrillex must be living his, because the noted video game fan co-wrote the new theme song for Disney’s forthcoming Kingdom Hearts III, alongside his frequent collaborator Poo Bear and the series’ favored theme write Utada Hikaru, as Newsweek reports.
The action role-player game series, famous for featuring beloved Disney, Pixar, Final Fantasy, and The World Ends With You characters, is scheduled for release Jan. 25, 2019. Newsweek uncovered the theme writing credits after a look at updates to the ASCAP registry. The track is called “Face My Fears.” Fans will have to wait to hear what it sounds like, but there are clips of Hikaru’s closing theme for the game, “Don’t Think Twice.”
Skrillex hasn’t said anything about it on his socials yet, but ASCAP doesn’t lie. Check out more of Kingdom Hearts III in the trailer below.
