Skrillex celebrated the final stop of his tour with Diplo by tweeting yesterday (Aug. 28) that it would be “a long, long time” before Jack U graced a festival lineup again. The tweet, since deleted, read as follows:
“Just did out (sic) Last jack Ü festivals of 2016 …and for a long long time. (hand emojis) thank you for all the people who came out to support us.”
A dissolution of the Grammy Award-winning partnership seems unlikely. Jack U reportedly debuted a new collaboration with Florence and the Machine at Reading Festival on Friday (Aug. 26), and the duo have been collaboratively linked to the likes of Big Sean, Rae Sremmurd, MØ and Lil Dicky. Perhaps it means the pair will spend less time on the road and more time in the studio.
Billboard Dance has reached out for comment.
