X Factor UK judge Simon Cowell was reportedly rushed to the hospital early Friday morning (Oct. 27) after falling down the steps of his London home.
The 58 year-old America’s Got Talent panelist remained hospitalized on Friday afternoon in stable condition, according to People. An unnamed source told the magazine that Cowell was undergoing tests and is “concerned” that he may not be able to make it to Saturday night’s (Oct. 28) taping of X Factor.
Cowell was pictured wearing a neck brace while being loaded into an ambulance on a stretcher around 7:30 a.m. local time. TMZ reported that Cowell was asleep in the upstairs bedroom of his home, woke in the middle of the night feeling dizzy, and as he was going to get some milk he became faint and fell down the stairs. A CAT scan has reportedly been performed, along with other tests.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the details of Cowell’s accident, with a rep declining to comment on the severity of the fall while describing it as “bad.”
A spokesperson for Cowell could not be reached for comment at press time.
