Christmas came early for Sia fans. The gift-giving season started Friday (Nov. 17), to be exact, with the release of the Aussie singer-songwriter’s first holiday album, Everyday Is Christmas.
Written by Sia and Greg Kurstin, Everyday Is Christmas is stuffed with 10 original tunes, including the previously released jazzy number “Santa’s Coming For Us” and the ballad “Snowman.”

Sia recently explained the origins of the “accidental” album to Beats 1 DJ Zane Lowe. “I thought we had a bit of a shortage of good Christmas music. There’s obviously the classics and stuff, but anything new, I wasn’t vibing that much on it,” she said.
Everyday Is Christmas, the followup to 2016’s This Is Acting, was “easy and fun. So, we did it in two weeks,” she recalled. “And I couldn’t stop writing new songs — so, I ended up with an original album by accident.”
Sia recently completed the North American leg of her headlining arena trek Nostalgic For The Present. Next up: a string of summer stadiums shows in Australia and New Zealand.
