From one wonder woman to another…Sia has unleashed “To Be Human,” a rousing song lifted from the soundtrack to D.C.’s new superhero film Wonder Woman.
The Aussie singer and songwriter joins forces with British vocalist and producer Labrinth on the track, which dropped Thursday ahead of the movie’s cinematic release.

“To Be Human” sets the scene with a dramatic buildup then blossoms into an anthem befitting the warrior princess. The pair team up in the chorus: “To be human is to love/Even when it gets too much/I’m not ready to give up/To be human is to love/Even when it gets too much/I’m not ready to give up.”
It’s a lyrical nod to the lasso-wielding “Wonder Woman” character (known to her pal as Diana Prince) who is blessed with superhuman talents but manages to get along with the rest of us mere humans.
Director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot attended the premiere tonight at The Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. Wonder Woman opens June 2 and its soundtrack arrives the same day.
