Showtime Documentary Films announced on Tuesday (July 23) its newest feature, Sid & Judy.
The Stephen Kijak-directed flick will follow the career and tragic life of iconic entertainer Judy Garland through the memories of her third husband, Sid Luft, who, for a decade, was also her confidant and manager.
The film will include concert footage, never-heard-before voice recordings and personal photos. It premiered at the Frameline Festival in San Francisco in June and will screen at Outfest Los Angeles on Saturday, July 27, at the Ford Theater in Hollywood.
Narrated by Jon Hamm and Jennifer Jason Leigh, Sid & Judy will broadcast on Showtime on Friday, October 18 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.
