Before Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders or any of the other Democratic Party’s 2016 presidential candidates got down to their speaking points in Tuesday (Oct. 13) night’s Democratic presidential debate, Sheryl Crow took the stage to sing the national anthem.

With Clinton, Sanders, former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee, former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley looking on, the nine-time Grammy Award winning Crow performed before the political audience.
The debate was moderated by Anderson Cooper and took place in Las Vegas, airing on CNN.
