MIAMI — They traveled from many parts of the globe and showed their musical talents against the backdrop of the Atlantic ocean: more than a dozen music artists kicked off the pre- Billboard Latin Music Conference with the poolside artist showcase, “Mas y Mas Música,” at the Eden Roc Renaissance in Miami Beach.
The showcase on Monday opened with Sheenah, a singer/songwriter with en eclectic style who blends soulful and danceable music with elements of Latin, Brazilian and Middle Eastern music. She performed “Gatica Brujita,” and “Ritmo Caliente.”

“I feel so energetic,” said the singer as she came off the stage. “This is a great opportunity to show my music, and I’m thrilled to be here.”
Others took to the stage, playing in a variety of styles that ranged from ballads to pop and from reggaeton-inspired beats to smooth vocals. For Colombian singer Aiko, being part of the evening’s roster meant that she’s ready to branch out beyond her native country with her brand of merengue and pop fusion.
“This is my time to open more doors,” said Aiko. “I’m known in my country, which is why participating in the Billboard showcase in the U.S. means a lot to me personally.”
