Last month, Billboard.com premiered the first episode of Shawn Mendes’ video diary, dubbed Life On The Road, which chronicled the 16-year-old’s experiences on his first major tour. At long last, the second installment of the video series has arrived — and you can once again watch it first on Billboard.com:
On this episode of Life On The Road, Mendes is shown admitting his nervousness while playing a hometown show of sorts in Toronto, and shaking off that anxiety to deliver a rousing show. “Being able to play in front of my hometown, and in front of my family and my friends and everyone I knew was just the best feeling,” says Mendes, “and I couldn’t have asked for a better response.” You also get a sense of what it’s like to be on the road with the teen star: bus sing-alongs, river swims and a whole lot more.
Mendes, a former Vine superstar, scored a Top 40 hit on the Hot 100 chart with his debut single “Life of the Party.” In exciting Mendes news, the singer will release his next single, “Something Big,” on Nov. 10, and the track will be the lead single from his upcoming debut album.
After supporting Austin Mahone on the road earlier this year, Mendes will embark on his first headlining dates in select cities, as well as be performing on the Jingle Ball tour in December.
