Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have partnered with Verizon to bring some next-level experiences to their fans.
The telecommunications company announced Tuesday (April 9) that its customer loyalty program, Verizon Up, will offer exclusive experiences with the pop superstars throughout the year, with more artists to be announced in the future. Perks include attending intimate events designed specifically for each artist, admission to private shows, exclusive access to concerts, VIP access to select shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Forum in Los Angeles and much more. The goal is to thank customers for being a part of the Verizon family.
“My fans are the reason I make music and perform,” Mendes said of the collaboration in a press release. “This is why I’m so excited to partner with Verizon on some amazing experiences that will get fans even closer to me than ever before. I can’t wait to share the energy of my shows in a truly unique way.”
“My Camilizers are truly the best fans in the world,” Cabello mirrored. “So when Verizon approached me with a way to thank them through the creation of some once in a lifetime experiences, I couldn’t turn it down.”
The partnership kicks off May 14 with a private Mendes concert for 2,000 Verizon Up members in New York City. During all U.S. tour dates of the “In My Blood” crooner’s tour, Verizon Up members will get early and expedited venue access through the Verizon Up Members Lane, and Verizon Up ticket holders will get access to an exclusive stageside experience within the Verizon Up Members section. VIP artist meet-and-greets will also be available at some shows.
Last year, Verizon Up offered VIP concert experiences at concerts from Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5 and Luke Bryan. When Billboard spoke with Bryan backstage at his headlining concert at LA’s Dodger Stadium in July, he raved about his fans’ access through the program. “Seeing those fans down there in the pit with their Verizon Up badges on and knowing that they just subscribed to this program and now they’re at one of my concerts is pretty cool.”
