SF9 dropped their latest Narcissus album more than a month ago — earning their sixth entry on Billboard‘s World Albums chart in the process — and the K-pop boy band is keeping the momentum going with a new version of their latest single.
Released on March 28, the ninesome delivered the English version of new single “Enough” alongside a live performance music video. The new take retains the initial dark-pop sound and staccato-like delivery as the guys explore an possessive-like infatuation, telling a lover she is enough as herself.
The new song and video premiered via MTV News, with the band shedding further light into the release. SF9 shared that the song was seen as a gift to their “global fanbase” and that the original demo version of “Enough” was recorded in English making for “a really natural fit.”
The band also shared they filmed this English performance the same day they introduced their new music to the local media in Korea. “It really confused most of us,” explained member In Seong. “Just minutes before filming that, we were practicing the Korean version. Then it was like, ‘OK guys, we’re filming the English version!’ My brain was so messed up and stuck on the Korean lyrics. It was hard, but when we saw the actual performance video I thought it turned out well.”
The English rendition of “Enough” comes just a month ahead of the guys meeting their U.S. and European fans on their 2019 SF9 USA – Europe Live Tour Unlimited. The trek kicks off at the Vic Theatre in Chicago on April 12.
