We spent the last week up in the Northeast. After the press day in New York City we traveled to Portland, Maine, for a couple lobsters and great show at the State Theater. We always love to play there -– the fans there kick ass and always amaze us. It definitely gets cold in Portland, but inside the State Theater it was 100 degrees.
We traveled to Atlantic City after the show to play the House of Blues. This was our first time in this NEW House of Blues. As always, the HOB shows get wild! It was an early show that night and of course NONE of us did ANY gambling -– that would be wrong, just wrong. We left for Providence RI at around 3AM. PROVIDENCE WAS COOOOLD. Lupo’s staff worked load in through load out in freezing weather –- light snow on and off all day long made the cold almost bearable. A few people went to Murphy’s next door for some food and boat drinks, but I stayed on the bus and had a relaxing Sunday night after the show.
Monday was a day off in Red Bank, New Jersey. Me, Andy (our Production Manager) and Ryan Martini from Mudvayne had some dinner. The dessert was the best f***in’ part. I had bread pudding with Wild Turkey caramel ice cream. Ryan had creme brulee that was like cheesecake and Andy had the Molten Chocolate Cake. After that we watched the worst Monday Night Football game in history. I hate the Eagles… FALCONS are my team.
On to show day in Sayreville at the Starland Ballroom. Tony and the crew there are always a good time. After our 50 minute set we had drinks and hung out ‘til about 1:30am.
That’s it from Vinnie on the road -– hope we get to see you soon!
