It was a late-night nailbiter, but in the end the GOP’s so-called “skinny repeal” of Barack Obama’s signature healthcare bill failed to pass.
The Senate early Friday rejected a measure to repeal parts of “Obamacare,” which needed a simple majority to pass. It was voted down by 51 votes to 49 with Republicans Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine joining McCain in voting no.
President Donald Trump, predictably, wasn’t impressed with the result.
3 Republicans and 48 Democrats let the American people down. As I said from the beginning, let ObamaCare implode, then deal. Watch!

But cheers rang out among the artist community as the likes of John Legend, Cher and Miley Cyrus followed the action and celebrated the result on social media.

Bill should have lost 95-5. I have a hard time calling the 3 republicans who voted “no” heroes. It was obviously stupid and awful
