In the year following her kidney transplant, Selena Gomez has adopted a new outlook on her life and career.
“Honestly, I’ve just kind of stepped back a bit,” actress, explained on Good Morning America Friday (June 29) while promoting Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation with costar Andy Samberg.
“I enjoy my life,” she continued, noting that she doesn’t live in Los Angeles anymore. “I don’t really think about anything that causes me stress anymore, which is really nice.”

While fans knew about Gomez’s ongoing battle with lupus, the “Back to You” singer revealed in September that she had undergone a kidney transplant. Her best friend, Francia Raísa, volunteered to donate her body part.
