A tragic shooting at a high school in Santa Fe, Texas on Friday (May 18) left 10 people dead and 10 others injured. The latest of countless celebrities to react to the horror is Selena Gomez.
The songstress, who is a Texas native herself, took to Twitter in a thread of frustration over the lack of gun control in the United States. “I am at a complete loss for words watching yet another school shooting,” she wrote. “This time in my home state of Texas. Congress continues to do absolutely nothing and it’s infuriating.”

She then encouraged her followers to support Everytown, which aims to promote gun safety and build safety in communities.
My thoughts are with the families of #SantaFe who were supposed to be looking forward to summer break with their loved ones. Please reach out to @everytown to see what you can do to help be a part of this movement that needs to get even louder.
