Selena Gomez has a lot of big changes going on in her life (and we’re not even talking about any kind of on-again, off-again Justin Bieber update).
The singer stopped by Ellen to promote the movie Rudderless, and Ellen DeGeneres wanted all the updates about her new label, new manager, and even her new house. “Yeah, I can, like, walk around naked now and stuff!” Gomez joked about the perks of living alone.
But while her new house is in L.A., she hasn’t forgotten about Taylor Swift‘s plans to get her to NYC. “She wants to kidnap me,” Gomez jokingly explained about her long-time friend’s plans. “She’s been begging me every time we get on the phone to move to New York, ’cause it’s been a really good thing for her. You know, we’ve been friends for seven years and she really feels like she kind of stepped into her own and became a woman there, and she’s like, ‘All right, your turn!'”

While Gomez notes that the Swift-championed move may need to be put on hold for the moment, the singer was thoughtful about all the other big changes going on in her life recently.
“This year’s been — I have been doing this so long that people tend to forget — they’re like, ‘Be yourself, be yourself,’ and I’m still trying to figure out who that is,” she said. “I know I’m not perfect, but I know I have a lot of people that support me and love me, and I don’t want to let anyone down, so I try to be the best I can be.”
