Selena Gomez and Coach have teamed up for round two, with the star fronting a much anticipated new collection for the fashion house.
The Spring 2018 campaign was shot by photographer Steven Meisel and features a video, set to Gomez’s “Wolves,” debuting exclusively on Billboard.com.
The campaign was shot with a team that included creative director Fabien Baron, makeup artist Pat McGrath, stylist Karl Templer and hair stylist Guido Palau in New York, a choice that was significant to Gomez, Billboard’s Woman of the Year. “Creative Director Stuart Vevers makes New York feel like a town, a real community,” she said in a statement. “It just feels like this is where the brand really lives.”
“Steven Meisel’s photography brings a layer of magic to those seemingly everyday situations,” Vevers added. “Whilst Selena has a warmth that’s special — there is also an authenticity and realness to her that brings the campaign to life.”
Gomez’s partnership with the brand was first announced in late-2016 and a capsule collection co-designed by her was introduced in August. She’s dressed in Coach for events like the American Music Awards, where she wore a custom leather minidress, and the Met Ball, appearing in a silk chiffon floral gown created by Vevers. The latest campaign will feature the Parker, a new handbag that will be available in February. Gomez also works with the Coach Foundation to support Step Up, a mentorship program for college bound young women.
