Franz Selb is to step down as managing director of the label Koch Universal Music, with effect from March 15. Selb was not willing to comment on the move.
Munich-based Selb has 25 years’ experience with the schlager and folk music specialist, which was bought by Universal in 2001.
“I do regret Franz’s decision a lot and thank him very much for his excellent work and the various successes we could celebrate together in the past years. I wish him all the best for the future,” comments Frank Briegmann, president and CEO Universal Music Germany.
The void will be filled by at Koch Universal by Ralf Schedler, who steps up to label head from A&R director, reporting to Tom Bohne, senior VP Universal Music Germany.
