Looks like Spice-y might need to break out those dancing shoes.
After Sean Spicer, the SNL-famous Press Secretary, resigned from the Trump Administration following the appointment of new communications director, New Yorker Anthony Scaramucci (aka “The Mooch”), Spicer is out of the Melissa McCarthy limelight and, thanks to his record-setting ratings, open for on-cam career opportunities.
According to Page Six, Spicer spent most of his day yesterday in high-level meetings with NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox News for potential hosting or commentator positions, but has also been approached by ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. “A TV insider confirmed to Page Six that the dancing competition show has indeed reached out to the Beltway insider, and ‘that has legs,'” The Post reported.
Thank you @POTUS @realDonaldTrump for the honor and privilege to serve you, this Administration and our nation https://t.co/aAMHLDKLtp

And while Zack Braff may have tweeted about the departing press secretary, saying “Can’t wait to see Sean Spicer waltz on Dancing With The Stars,” having a former White House/Beltway politico on DWTS is not unheard of. Last season, current energy secretary and former candidate for the GOP nomination, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, was on DWTS dancing the “Texas cha-cha.” Unfortunately for Perry, he was the second contestant to be voted off.
Billboard has reached out to Dancing With The Stars for comment and will update this post with any new information.
