Forbes has released its eighth annual list of hip-hop’s wealthiest artists, and for the second year in a row, Sean “Diddy” Combs tops the list. Since the list was launched in 2007, he has consistently vied with 50 Cent, Jay Z (that year, the three made the most of their high-earning statuses with the song “I Get Money: Forbes 1, 2, 3 Remix”) and Dr. Dre for top five dominance, with guest appearances from Kanye West, Akon, and Lil Wayne.
The top five earners this year are:
1. Sean “Diddy” Combs ($700 million)
2. Andre “Dr. Dre” Young ($550 million)
3. Shawn “Jay Z” Carter ($520 million)
4. Bryan “Birdman” Williams ($160 million)
5. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson ($140 million)
