English-bred Warner Bros. recording artist Seal has set a handful of U.S. tour dates for the remainder of 2003 in support of his latest effort, “Seal IV,” which is No. 25 this week in its fourth week on The Billboard 200.
In addition to 10 scattered shows throughout November and December, Seal will take part in two special events this month — the Oct. 15 “One Night With Lite” concert at New York’s Theater at Madison Square Garden and the Oct. 23 “Bogart Tour For a Cure” in Los Angeles. The former is a presentation of 106.7 Lite FM that also features performances by Rod Stewart and Simply Red. “Bogart Tour For a Cure” is a benefit event at Los Angeles’ Kodak Theater for the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program.
Seal’s proper tour will commence Nov. 14 in Temecula, Calif. and wrap Dec. 13 in Washington, D.C.
“Seal IV” has sold 226,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The single “Waiting for You” cracked Billboard’s Hot 100 this week at No. 98, while “Get It Together” is No. 3 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.
