After speaking for Trump at the Republican National Convention earlier this year and often voicing his support on cable news, one can’t help but wonder what’s next for Baio’s political advocacy as Trump assumes the presidency in January. Might he, perhaps, sing at the inauguration? Crazier things have happened recently.
Though Baio is best known for his sitcom acting, in the early 1980s during the peak of his heartthrob status, he dipped his toes into a singing career that was boosted by his role on the short-lived Happy Days spinoff Joanie Love Chachi where he played an aspiring musician.
Much like Chachi, Biao’s musical career never quite took off but he did manage to land on Billboard’s music charts in 1982 with his self-titled album, which peaked at No. 181 on the Billboard 200 dated Sept. 11, 1982, and spent four weeks on the chart in total.
Just in case President-Elect Trump is thinking about Biao singing at his inauguration, we present select highlights of his musical past for consideration:
Happy Days – “Just Call”
Joanie Loves Chachi – “You Look at Me” Opening Theme
Merv Griffin Show – “What Was in That Kiss”
CBS Saturday Morning Preview Special – “Some Girls”
Full House – “Shout (You Make Me Wanna)”
Full House – “Louie Louie”
