Score: The Podcast, a podcast devoted to film, TV and video game composers, will launch April 3.
The team behind 2017’s Score: A Film Music Documentary created the podcast, which will be hosted by Robert Kraft, former president of Fox Music, and journalist Kenny Holmes. Both were producers of the documentary, which highlighted the history of film scoring and included many of the top contemporary composers. Matt Schrader, who directed the documentary, serves as the podcast’s executive director.
Among the first guests on the podcast will be composer John Debney (Passion of the Christ, Elf, The Jungle Book, Liar Liar, The Greatest Showman), Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek, The Martian, Chronicles of Narnia, The Town, Kingdom of Heaven, Man on Fire), James Newton Howard (The Dark Knight, King Kong, Signs, The Fugitive, The Hunger Games), Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld, Iron Man, Pacific Rim) and Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious series, Marvel films, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
The podcast will feature an interactive game show, Name That Score, in which listeners can play along to win soundtracks and autographed prizes.
Score: The Podcast will be available through iTunes, Stitcher and Spotify.
