Billboard’s Top 30 EDM Power Players List Revealed: Who Rules Dance Music?
“It’s like Bob Dylan: He pissed people off, but whenever he switched, he reinvented himself in a way that made him who he is today,” Braun told Billboard about Bieber’s foray into EDM.
Braun — who’s had immense success with pop artists including Ariana Grande — has stepped into the dance world, which he told Billboard “was becoming so big I really couldn’t ignore it.” He’s now managing Steve Angello, who rocketed to fame with the DJ supergroup Swedish House Mafia, and 19-year-old Dutch DJ-producer Martin Garrix. “I get instant respect because of who [Angello and Garrix] are. One is a legend and the other is one of the fastest-rising stars in the genre,” Braun told Billboard.
