The Scissor Sisters, Kaiser Chiefs and Mika are included in the line-up for the Italia Wave Love Festival, which will be held in Florence from July 17 to 22.
Italian acts include Carmen Consoli, Vinicio Capossela, Avion Travel and Casino Royale.
The Italia Wave Love Festival is an evolution of the Arezzo Wave Love Festival, a music and arts event that has played annually in another Tuscan city, Arezzo, since 1987.
Over the years it has generated massive attendance and has helped break artists like Ben Harper in Italy. Its organizers, the Arezzo Wave Foundation, have worked alongside Austin’s South by Southwest Festival. They have also promoted Italian music abroad through their own, unofficial “Italian Music Export Office,” which has released compilations and staged showcases at the Midem trade fair in Cannes.
