The longtime SBS executive will oversee local and national radio divisions.
Eric Garcia has been named radio revenue chief of SBS’ radio division, according to a spokesperson.
Garcia will manage local and national radio divisions along with event sponsorships, among other duties that include growing revenue for all radio divisions.
Reporting to Albert Rodriguez, COO of SBS, Garcia will continue to manage SBS New York radio station operations as general manager.
“Eric Garcia has demonstrated a capacity for leadership and management skills in improving New York’s station performance,” Rodriguez said. “We are asking him to expand those abilities to our other radio markets.”
Garcia joined SBS in 2004. Previously, he was VP, sales at WSKQ-Mega 97.9 FM and WPAT-Amor 93.1 FM in New York. His career in radio began at McGavren Guild Media. Garcia, according to a statement from SBS, is a graduate of Long Island University with a degree in marketing and management.
“I will be able to work alongside the best operators in the business across our SBS markets, and together, grow the dynamics of the overall SBS portfolio,” Garcia, a New York-native, said in a statement. “I look forward to working together with each market and use our relentless drive to grow SBS shares in every market.”
