Joni Mitchell’s Canadian hometown of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan has been named as host of the 2007 Juno Awards by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, and Canadian broadcaster CTV today (Dec. 1). The awards will
take place Sunday, April 1, 2007 during a three-day music industry celebration weekend in the prairie city.
“Saskatoon is extremely excited to be hosting Canada’s top musical talent,” Saskatoon Mayor Donald Atchison said. “I can guarantee that the passion, enthusiasm and hospitality of the citizens of Saskatoon will make the 2007 Juno Awards the best ever.”
Halifax, Nova Scotia hosts the 2006 Juno Awards on April 2, 2006.
