Anyone at a festival in the last six months has likely heard the post-psy trance monster tune from Sander van Doorn’s label known as “Tsunami.” It’s been played by everyone from Hardwell to W&W to Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. It was even the most played tune at Tomorrowland last month. Widely rumored to be the work of up-and-coming producers DVBBS and Borgeous, nobody — including the artists themselves — has confirmed this. Credited officially as “Sander van Doorn Presents: Tsunami,” van Doorn confirms he is not the producer, but the label honcho behind it.
“This track is one of the highlights in my sets for the last couple of months,” van Doorn tells Billboard, without naming any names. “I’m very proud to have these guys on my label and there might be a collaboration between all of us soon!”
All will be revealed tonight when Pete Tong plays the tune on his BBC Radio 1 show and tells the world who is behind this music. “Tsunami” is slated for official release through van Doorn’s own Doorn Records on August 19th.
