Halloween is still a couple months away, but Ryan Adams is already in the October spirit. As the press cycle for his promising self-titled album (due Sept. 9 via Pax-Am) moves forward, the singer-songwriter shared the music video for lead single “Gimme Something Good.” It’s a grainy, mostly black-and-white clip that features an Addams Family-style haunted house, candelabras, and the Mistress of the Dark herself, Cassandra Peterson — aka Elvira.
The spooky video might leave you at a loss for words at first, but as it wears on, it’s clear it was all done in cheeky, good fun. It also helps that “Gimme Something Good” is one of Adams’ best songs in years. The clip was directed by Michael Reich.
