Ryan Adams canceled his South by Southwest performance scheduled for Friday (March 17) night at ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas, the festival has announced.
In a tweet, SXSW said the cancelation was due to illness.
Due to illness, Ryan Adams has regretfully been forced to cancel tonight’s performance at ACL Live at The Moody Theater. #SXSW

On Thursday, Adams posted some notes about being sick on social media.
On Instagram, he shared a photo of himself with BBC Radio 2 host Jo Whiley, saying it was taken before his “body stopped working.” And on Twitter, he joked that the zydeco musical genre “sounds INSANE when you’re fighting off pneumonia.”
