Run the Jewels, the collaborative project of Killer Mike and El-P, just revealed the cover art (above) and track list (below) for their second album, RTJ2, as well as a slew of tour dates behind the album. After hitting more than 30 North American cities this fall, the duo will play several dates in Australia and one in New Zealand.
El-P produced Killer Mike’s 2012 album R.A.P. Music, which led the duo to release their first collaborative full-length, Run the Jewels, last year. This summer, the two artists performed at a number of festivals, including Lollapalooza in Chicago and Governors Ball in New York. In addition to touring and recording, the duo has been politically active. Both artists spoke with Spin about the violence in Ferguson, while Killer Mike appeared on Fox News to discuss situation and published an op-ed about it for Billboard.
RTJ2 will include guest appearances from Boots, Travis Barker, and Rage Against the Machine’s Zack de la Rocha. Run the Jewels will be supported on their tour by a selection of rappers from New York: Despot, the group Ratking and Joey Bada$$, who will back them in Australia.
Check out the list of dates below and look for their new album on Oct. 28.
