Rounder Records, home of tween band Girl Authority, and publisher Beacon Street Girls have revealed a joint partnership that will focus on providing entertainment with a positive message for pre-teen girls.
The two companies have completed an initial round of cross promotions including a Beacon Street Girls insert in Girl Authority’s CD “Road Trip” and a free song download available to readers of “Maeve on the Red Carpet,” a recently released Beacon Street Girls book. Girl Authority was included as part of the book narrative as well, playing a concert that the characters attend. Girl Authority has also been featured in the Club BSG newsletter to the tween readers of the Beacon Street Girls books and Web site.
Girl Authority is a group of nine girls, age 10-15, each with an individual “identity” that ties in with their personalities. Beacon Street Girls creates gifts, books, and interactive media for young women.
