Rolling Stone is exploring the fast-moving world of TikTok with a new podcast venture.
From today (Sept. 22), Rolling Stone partners with Westwood One on Don’t Let This Flop, a weekly deep-dive on all things TikTok for the CUMULUS Podcast Network.
“Some of these stories will be silly; some will be more serious. All will have wider implications outside the world of TikTok,” reads a statement announcing the new project.
Hosted by RS senior writers Brittany Spanos and EJ Dickson, the series will capture the hot trends and memes on the popular social platform, and welcome a special guest on each episode.
“EJ and Brittany cover TikTok better than any reporters out there,” says Jason Fine, Rolling Stone’s director of content development. “They bring a sharp eye for the latest, weirdest, and most hilarious trends and characters who are reaching huge audiences. If you follow TikTok closely or just want to keep up on the latest, this podcast is the place to go.”
Owned by ByteDance, TikTok is one of the fasted growing social platforms on the planet, with roughly 1 billion active monthly users, many of them categorized as Gen Z. The app has reported chalked up more than three billion downloads.
Don’t Let This Flop is available at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, TuneIn, Pocket Casts, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, Pandora, and other platforms.
Rolling Stone and Billboard are sister brands within Penske Media Corporation (PMC), the leading independent global media and information services company.
