Grab your old kicks and don your best oversized matching pants and jacket. SMASHA is gonna take us back to the glory days of UK garage.
“Rock It” is bangin’ two-step with lots of bass and heavy kick to throw your back out on the floor. It’s groovy and moody. You can almost taste the smoke in the air.
“I lived in the UK during my middle school years and one year in high school,” SMASHA says. “I went to boarding school over there and had family in South London, so I was there a lot. I’ve lived in D.C. for awhile now, but the U.K. was a big part of my life growing up. You can say this track is a homage to a place that I love.”
SMASHA’s “Rock it” comes out Friday, March 3, on Brenmar‘s label High End Times. It’s the latest in the label’s “Club Series,” which aims shine on up-and-coming producers Brenmar feels has what it takes to set the scene on fire. This tune is definitely a head turner.
