The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2021 nominees on Wednesday (Feb. 10) morning, but which of the 16 acts should earn the honor?
Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go’s, Iron Maiden, Jay-Z, Chaka Khan, Carole King, Fela Kuti, LL Cool J, New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, Todd Rundgren, Tina Turner and Dionne Warwick make up the most gender-inclusive ballot in Rock Hall’s history, with seven acts featuring women.
Hard rock pillars Foo Fighters and East Coast hip-hop heavyweight Jay-Z are nominated in their first year of eligibility, since an act is eligible 25 years after their first commercial recording is released. Dave Grohl was previously inducted as part of Nirvana, while Turner was previously inducted as part of the duo Ike & Tina Turner, and King’s songwriting earned her Rock Hall entry in the non-performer category.
So who do you want to see be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year? Vote below!
