With the 15 finalists on this year’s ballot for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced, the nominees have begun voicing reactions.
Janet Jackson, Nine Inch Nails, N.W.A Nominated for 2016 Rock Hall of Fame
“On behalf of the members of the band Chicago, past and present, I am grateful for the creative life that Music continues to provide. We are surprised and honored to be nominated,” Chicago’s Robert Lamm told Billboard.
“Getting nominated for the Hall is an honor for Cheap Trick,” the band’s Rick Nelson said. “We owe it to our fans for keeping us working and relevant. Onward to 2016!”
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Dismisses At Least 16 Nominating Members
Los Lobos‘ Conrad Lozano said, “Never thought that something like this would ever happen to a little band from East L.A. Maybe now we won’t have to pay to get in anymore!”
“We are thrilled to once again be nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and are honored to be recognized for being one of those having made an impact in music over all these years,” said Yes.
