Robbie DeFreitas Leaves Alliance

In the continuing reshaping of the Alliance Entertainment executive suite, Robbie DeFreitas, the senior VP who heads up purchasing has left the company. He follows Alan Tuchman out the door; Tuchman, who held the CEO position, resigned from the company in April and was replaced by former Universal Music Enterprises executive VP/GM Mike Davis.

DeFreitas has been replaced as the head of purchasing and marketing by Laura Provenzano, according to a letter that Davis sent to vendors.

In that letter, Davis wrote, “Robbie had a significant impact on AEC over his amazing 26 year career and will be missed.

“One of the many contributions Robbie made to the company was hiring and mentoring several key executives”, including Provenzano.
