BTS leader and rapper-songwriter RM turned 25 (26 by Korean calculation) on Sept. 12 (by Korean time standards), with fans celebrating around the world on Wednesday (Sept. 11).
While the rest of the boy band, ARMY and even collaborator Steve Aoki wished RM well on his special day, the rapper-songwriter, whose real name is Kim Namjoon, shared his gratitude on Twitter today.
He penned a letter to the ARMY in Korean, which was translated via Twitter user @doolsetbangtan. RM quoted Shakespeare in his note to his loving fanbase, writing, “Shakespeare said ‘we are advertised by our loving friends.’ Once again, I keenly feel that my today is what became to be known and what became to be so much special, thanks to you who I love.”
