British pop band Rixton, best known for their Top 20 hit “Me and My Broken Heart,” are giving their fans a more in-depth look at the music video for their single “Hotel Ceiling,” which was co-written by Ed Sheeran. Check out the director’s cut of the “Hotel Ceiling” clip, premiering exclusively on Billboard.com:
Starring actress Alice Eve and model Billy Huxley, the “Hotel Ceiling” video is a glimpse into the anxiety and flood of memories caused by a missing person case. The song, produced and co-written by pop whiz Benny Blanco, will be included on Rixton’s debut full-length, Let The Road.
“We didn’t want to be in the video as we felt we needed actors to really hone in on this story and tell it from a different perspective,” the band shared in a joint statement. “If we were in the video it would have made it more about Rixton, rather than this deep meaningful song that means a lot to us.”
Let The Road will be released on Mar. 3 in North America through School Boy/Giant Little Man/Mad Love/Interscope Records, and can be pre-ordered here. On Feb. 28, the group kicks off a sprawling in support of Ariana Grande.
