

The lineup for this year’s Riot Fest in Toronto is out, with the loud-and-proud festival and expo poised to host a slate of major bands and elder statesmen of alternative rock ‘n’ roll.
Among the topline artists set to rattle Downsview Park on Sept. 6-7 include The National, Brand New, AWOLNation, Death Cab for Cutie, Rise Against, The New Pornographers, New Found Glory, and the recently drummer-less Flaming Lips.

The event also boasts a wealth of seasoned influencers including The Afghan Whigs, Social Distortion, Buzzcocks, and three frontmen of bands you may have heard of: Paul Weller (The Jam, The Style Council), Bob Mould (Husker Du, Sugar) and Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth).
The lineup also includes plenty of Canadian acts, including City and Colour, Stars, Tokyo Police Club, Metric and Death From Above 1979.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 10. After Toronto, Riot Fest heads to Chicago from Sept. 12-14 and wraps in Denver Sept. 19-21.
