If finding out the winner of Season 11 wasn’t enough excitement for “American Idol” fans, the competition’s May 23 finale will feature a special performance from none other than Rihanna.
The Barbadian pop star will perform “Where Have You Been,” her fifth single from “Talk That Talk” which re-entered the Hot 100 at No. 78 last week. Rihanna performed on the singing competition’s ninth and 10th season as well, and recently performed “Where Have You Been” and “Birthday Cake” on “Saturday Night Live.”
Before Rihanna takes the “Idol” stage for the finale, Jennifer Lopez — now wrapping up her second season at the judges’ table — will perform her new single “Dance Again” on the May 10 results show. David Cook, the season seven “Idol” champ, will also perform “The Last Song I’ll Write For You” during the telecast.
