“Princess Of China” is coming to Los Angeles, as Rihanna and Coldplay will team up for a joint performance at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. Paul McCartney was also announced as a performer on Thursday (Jan. 19) at this year’s ceremony, which airs live from L.A.’s Nokia Theatre on Feb. 12.

Coldplay, which scored its third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 when “Mylo Xyloto” was released last October, is up for three Grammys this year, including Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall.” Meanwhile, Rihanna — whose single “We Found Love” just spent its 10th week atop the Hot 100 — is nominated for four awards, including Album of the Year for her 2010 offering “Loud.”
Last year, Coldplay and Rihanna teamed up for “Princess Of China,” a track off “Mylo Xyloto.” The song peaked at No. 20 on the Hot 100 upon its debut in November, and is now being worked as a single at pop radio.
McCartney’s Grammy performance will come less than a week after the Feb. 7 release of his latest studio album, “Kisses On The Bottom,” which reinterprets classic songs that inspired the former Beatle’s songwriting. McCartney will also be honored as the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year at a ceremony on Feb. 10.
Coldplay, Rihanna and McCartney join previously announced performers Taylor Swift, the Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson. On Wednesday, LL Cool J was named the official host of the 2012 Grammy Awards, the first time in seven years that the ceremony has included an emcee.
