
Westbury New Road, the street Rihanna grew up on in St. Michael, Barbados, is now officially Rihanna Drive. The two-hour street-renaming ceremony took place on the country’s independence day (Nov. 30), and the honoree herself was in attendance, joining Prime Minister Freundel Stuart for the unveiling.
The 29-year-old beamed with hometown pride alongside friends and family in a yellow Hellessy shirt-dress worn off the shoulders from the designer’s spring 2018 ready-to-wear collection. She completed the look with yellow point-toe mules, a mini Jacquemus purse and oversize gold Jennifer Fisher hoop earrings.
Last year, the Bajan bad gal and Prince Harry celebrated the 50th anniversary of Barbados’ independence by attending Toast to the Nation and a special concert on the island featuring the country’s very own talent.
