The Knockouts are done for the year, but they didn’t pass without drama.
On Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice, Team Blake singers Ricky Braddy and Zach Bridges faced off for the night’s final pairing.
Neither went down without a fight. Only one could emerge a winner.
Ricky Braddy put aside his nerves of performing coach John Legend’s own “So High.” And he did it like a seasoned pro, delivering a vocally complex rendition and earning a standing ovation from all four judges.
Bridges went with Garth Brooks’ “The Dance.” It wasn’t a perfect effort, and that’s what Bridges needed on the day to overcome a powerful Braddy performance.
In the end, Blake Shelton selected Braddy as the winner. The North Carolina-native is one of 20 artists who advances to the Live Playoffs, starting next week.
