Universal Music Group Nashville VP of sales Kelly Keiber Rich joins Big Machine Records in the newly created position of VP of sales and marketing. She will be based in the company’s Nashville office.
Prior to her work at UMGN, Rich spent four years in a similar capacity at DreamWorks Nashville, where she worked with Big Machine president/CEO Scott Borchetta.
“Kelly was instrumental in our record-setting sales success at DreamWorks, and brings a wealth of knowledge and top level relationships to Big Machine,” Borchetta said in a prepared statement. “She’s the perfect addition to our executive team.”
Rich began her music career in 1990 in the Dallas branch of BMG Distribution and segued into sales and marketing for Arista Nashville, where she spent three years.
Meanwhile, Penny Lazo continues as national director of sales and marketing for Big Machine, based in Dallas.
