Independent U.K. publisher Reverb Music has merged with its subsidiary Reverb 2 Music.
Annette Barrett, Reverb 2’s managing director and former Warner Chappell executive, becomes managing director of the newly-expanded entity, which will retain the name Reverb Music.
Its catalog includes “All Time Love,” the hit recording by British singer Will Young, a winner of TV-reality talent show “Pop Idol.” The song’s writer is Jamie Hartman.
Also on Reverb’s books is “No Promises,” a hit by the victor of another TV talent show “The X Factor.” That song was composed by Palladium, the Danish song-writing duo comprising Jonas Schroeder & Lucas Siebe.
According to Reverb Music’s chairman/CEO Ian Wright, the move will create one of the country’s Top 10 music publishers.
“We are becoming a pretty big company in the United Kingdom and growth in Europe could possibly become substantial,” Wright tells Billboard.biz.
Meanwhile, Paul Harris has departed from his position as head of A&R at Australia’s Mushroom Music to rejoin Reverb’s A&R team from Nov. 1. Harris left Reverb at the end of 2003 to relocate to Australia.
