The rumored layoffs at Epic have begun, with word that Texas/Oklahoma/Arkansas promotion regional Brett Greenberg and Denver regional Jen Dalton have been let go.
Dalton has been in her post for the past three and a half years and came to Epic from the radio side. She can be accessed at 503-320-0599 or jendalt@hotmail.com.
This ends Greenberg’s second round at Epic, with his first run from 1990-2001 at Sony Music Marketing and as Epic’s Atlanta local. He’s also done label promotions for Victory, where he was head of alternative and active rock promotions; Atlanta regional for Capitol; and RED, where he was a sales rep. Greenberg also crossed over from radio. He’s available at brettgreenberg@tmo.blackberry.net or 773-751-8047.
Additionally, CBS Interactive is laying off people across several of its properties, according to tech blog TechCrunch, including employees of social music site Last.FM. CBS says the number of Last.fm layoffs is less than 20, which would put it at about 20 percent. CBS bought Last.fm in 2007 for $280 million.
