
After performing at Reggae Sumfest 2011 in Montego Bay, Jamaica on Saturday (July 23), Nicki Minaj was given a summons for explicit lyrics and “sexually suggestive dance moves,” reports Jamaica Observer.

Police reportedly handed Minaj the summons as she exited the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex following her performance. Minaj pleaded guilty and paid the fine of $1,000, according to Jamaica Observer.
But Barbz didn’t let the matter sweat her too much. Following her performance, Minaj took to Twitter to share her excitment of the night, “OMG!!! I swear I just had the TIME of my LIFE @ ReggaeSumFest in JAMAICA!!!! Jamaica I fell in love tonite! WOWWW!!!! [sic].”
Nicki Minaj also took time after her performance to express her love for reggae music with VIBE.
“I always include a Reggae segment in my shows, even on the Britney Spears Tour because I love Jamaican culture and dancehall music,” Nicki Minaj told VIBE. “I grew up on it. Since I was little, I’ve loved Beenie Man, Lady Saw and Bounty Killer.”
