The hip-hop-centric Rock the Bells festival will branch off into a club tour this fall, beginning Nov. 21 in Washington, D.C. Redman, Raekwon, Keith Murray, Supernatural and DJ Kool will be on the bill for the trek, which will run through Dec. 22 in Anaheim, Calif.
Redman will be previewing material from his next Def Jam album, “Red Gone Wild,” due in March; the as-yet-untitled first single will be produced by Timbaland. It’s the follow-up to 2001’s “Malpractice,” which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200. Redman and Murray are also expected to perform material by Def Squad, their side project with rapper Erick Sermon.
Raekwon is working on the highly anticipated sequel to his 1995 debut, “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx,” but no release date has been announced for the project. The rapper can be heard guesting on Hi-Tek’s recent Babygrande album, “Hi-Teknology 2.”
